Winter Ranch Wedding with a Rustic Chic Theme | Sparrow Creek Ranch
RUSTIC CHIC FOR A PERFECT WINTER WEDDING for MR and MRS KING
January is a great month for weddings in North Texas. You beat the heat but still get the dreamy winter sun at the low angle that makes everything feel magical. The Barn at Sparrow Creek Ranch is a perfect venue for a winter ranch wedding. The vintage barn is stunning, with gorgeous walls and a main reception room covered in antique mirrors. Couples need minimal decor to make a Sparrow Creek Ranch wedding beautiful. The venue itself sets the romantic atmosphere so our couples feel like they are on cloud nine all night long.
“Thank you so much for letting us use your amazing venue! The day was more perfect than I could imagine.”

OUTDOOR WINTER CEREMONY - NORTH TEXAS VENUE
The ceremony at this January wedding took place at 4pm, which is the perfect time for an outdoor ceremony in the winter. Outdoor ceremonies should always be held about 2 hours before sunset so there is plenty of natural light for photos and videography. This means earlier ceremonies in the winter, but it's worth it to get the most out of the beautiful winter light.
INDUSTRIAL WEDDING VENUE - VINTAGE RECEPTION
The reception at this January wedding was held in our Industrial-Reuprosed Barn. The space was decorated with simple, elegant touches, such as white flowers and candles. The antique chandeliers sparkled overhead, and the mirrors reflected the light and made the space feel even more spacious. The guests danced the night away, and the newlyweds enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife with giant smiles and a huge embrace at the end!
WEDDING THEME -RUSTIC-CHIC!
“Rustic-chic....I think? To be honest, I have no clue! I love the color pine green, and I thought it would be perfect for a winter wedding. We are the complete opposite of up-tight, so I think this wedding is going to be best described as a BLAST...at least I hope so!” - Bride
LOVE STORY AND HOW HE PROPOSED
“We started as friends in high school but then started falling for each other our senior year, and that’s when we started dating. I like to say we were friends at 16, best friends at 17, dating at 18, engaged at 19, and married at 20! He totally surprised me after babysitting one night, I thought I was heading to a 4th of July party at our family friend’s house. My dad met me outside with a bouquet of flowers, and I walked down a path of red rose petals with pictures of us throughout the years, while our family and friends held sparklers for me to walk through. Dallas was at the end of the pathway, down on one knee!” - Bride
SPECIAL TRADITION - PRAYER
“I want to pray as a big family unit. I will do a first look with my dad/uncle/granddad because they have all been my role models, plus I grew up a huge daddy's girl. I want to dance a bunch with my mom and aunts; they are the most fun people ever. There will also be a memorial for loved ones watching from Heaven.” - Bride
