SCR’s LOG CABIN

SCR is also home to a one-of-a-kind log cabin that is a work of architectural wonder in its own right built from timbers trucked down from British Columbia. The cabin has one of the best views in North Texas, overlooking the Brazos River tributary and one of the last remaining oil rigs from the 1920s. The view out these giant windows is breath taking.

Wildcatter Ranch is a Four-Star Resort with many fun amenities for wedding guests, like kayaking the Brazos, horseback riding, skeet shooting, etc. My husband's family was all from Houston or Virginia, and they loved staying there. "It was a perfect place to stay. The biggest hit was the deck on the back with the fire pit. My boys really enjoyed that to kick back and relax the night before the wedding at Sparrow Creek, which was less than a mile away, and Karan could not have been a better hostess.

The Vintage Spartan Trailer next to SCR is perfect for the couple who only need one night after the wedding and don’t want to drive very far! Are you heading to the airport the next day? Or do you want to stay with your wedding party Friday night but need a single night to stay as newlyweds before heading out after the wedding? La Mulita (armadillo in Spanish) is just on the other side of the creek, running behind the barn.
La Mulia is only available for single-night rentals for SCR couples.
