Three Pillars to Sparrow Creek Ranch’s Character and Couples Wedding Planning Experience

COMMUNICATION, FAMILY MISSION, & BUDGET-CONSCIOUS

“After a few months of dating we knew that we were going to get married someday. So about 6 months into the relationship Amber started looking at venues and showed Marcus Sparrow Creek Ranch and we were both head over heels for it. It had the PERFECT combination of country and elegant and it was the perfect fit!. Now 6 years later we are getting married at the venue that captivated us from the very beginning.” - Amber and Marcus

That incredible story of love and also waiting to get married at SCR for six years is at the core of what and who we are at Sparrow Creek Ranch! Below, read on about the three pillars of what sets us apart, and also enjoy this stunning November day for Marcus and Amber at SCR!

1) We pride ourselves on our reviews, and being excellent support and communication is key. You can see my reviews of not just SCR,  but the venue I also manage in Austin -- so you can see those comments on communication We take communication and being proactive in giving our couples and their families resources to start and continue planning very seriously. We are not just a venue, but a full-on resource and helpful guide from day one!

2) SCR is so much more than a venue; it actually feels strange when people call it that :) -- it's my dad, and I’s passion project and how we serve and honor the Lord through a space dedicated to purposeful marriage. And we love hosting our couples fully invested in that mission with us.  Because we do this as a family, we are mission-driven and care deeply about each and every wedding day!

3) I am big on budget!! I am here to help, but weddings are costly - we are told repeatedly that our value far exceeds our costs in many ways, which is a huge priority for us. From day one, SCR provides insights into carterin costs, bar, and overall budget estimates when our couples inquire. We never want a couple to book and be surprised at the overall cost of the big day. We work to educate our couples on budgets and help with costs through our packages and inclusions, as well as resources for planning.

Sparrow Creek Ranch with vistas and rolling hills is the setting for this bride and grooms portrait. The groom is in a terracotta blazer and cowboy hat.

How does this impact your wedding day? Read Bride Amber’s Review and you’ll see how these three pillars of SCR shine through in each Bride’s experience:

There is not a perfect way of giving this review, there are so many positive things to say about the SCR I don’t even know where to begin. I just got married about 3 weeks ago at SCR and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience.

The venue in itself is jaw dropping, it is the one and only venue that we decided to tour after looking at countless other venues (I had my heart set on getting married here for about 5 years) and I am so happy we decided to stick with our instincts. Kalli has pretty much all of the legwork taken care of for you from the organization she offers for day of event, mock timelines, seating arrangements with SCR blue prints to recommended vendor, it saved me so much time and stress by using her recommended vendors and they did not disappoint (shoutout to KB Wedding Films, Galyean Photo + Film, Krazy Cakes, Mark Waggoner and Rudy’s).

Not to mention all of the included decor is a HUGE bonus! The gorgeous landscape is to die for, having the opportunity to take my bridals here as well was such an awesome experience! Kalli has impressed me beyond measure, she was always a reliable source if I ever had any questions or needed any help along the way she was there to answer extremely quick. What made everything better is that Kalli genuinely cares about the venue and the couples getting married there. You can just look at the venue and see the dedication they have put into it.

THEIR SWEET LOVE STORY

“Amber and I were both living in Mansfield, Texas, where we went to separate high schools, but our high school jobs were neighboring each other. Marcus worked at the car wash and Amber worked at RaceTrac. Marcus grew fond of seeing Amber, EVERYDAY, and Marcus knew he had to ask to take Amber out. Amber said no for months. Marcus was in between lung surgeries and asked for Amber's number so he could at least talk to her while in the hospital. Still no luck. Marcus returned after his first surgery and Amber finally gave in out of pity. Marcus took Amber fishing the day before his second surgery and she came to visit the next day in the hospital. Amber stayed all night and visited every day for almost two weeks. They have been inseparable ever since their exchange of numbers in the summer of 2017. God has blessed us in many ways by giving us each other. We can't wait to see what else he has in store.”
