I am thankful for the wonderful partnership that has flourished over the years! Of all the venues I travel to throughout my career, I can always pull down the long dirt drive of SCR and feel at home. A home built with love, sweat, tears and unique beauty! I find myself telling the origin stories of the barn to uncles, grandpas and any other wedding guest that seem to want to hear about it. I am always so proud to tell the repurposeful stories that the barn holds. With every new visit to the barn I find new views, “perfect spots” and the best backdrops.

5 Tips for Booking Ranch Wedding Photographer in North Texas
It is no small feat to have your venue sing the praises for your vendors. Especially photography! Your venue knows who does and does not photograph their unique spaces with talent and the right equipment! SCR weddings have gorgeous natural light, outdoor portraits as well as dark, romantic night lighting. Only very talented, professional wedding photographers know how to capture it.
Are they professional? Communication with your photographer is one of the most important elements in a seamless wedding day. They are key to choosing your ceremony start time and influencing your wedding day timeline. If they are professional and familiar with your venue they will have great insight into how best to organize your day to optimize time and flow.
Style is important! A photographer has a mastery of their own style. Making sure you vibe with that well in advance of booking them is key. But, again, because SCR gives our couples booth indoor, outdoor, romantic, moody, light and airy options across the property choosing a photographer with a range of skills is a great choice.
Have other brides at your venue given 5-star reviews? Photography is an art and everyone has a different preference. So reviews should be weighed with the understanding that everyone’s tastes are different. If there is one outlier don’t be afraid to ask the photographer about that couples’ experience but do not let one out of dozens of great reviews stop you from considering a photographer!
Have they photographed a “plan B” at our venue? At SCR if the weather doens’t allow for an outdoor ceremony couples move indoors for both ceremony and reception. Making sure your photographer has experience with not only a venue “Plan A” but “Plan B” will give you great piece of mind in case your plans need to change.
