November North Texas Ranch Wedding | Rust, Copper, and Pink Wedding Theme
Copper accents, burnt orange hints, terracotta undertones for bridesmaids’ dresses, copper saree, and the most dreamy rustic boho design for Eric and Emily’s November wedding at SCR! This sweet couple started their journey out of state and searched high and low for the perfect ranch wedding venue that would be “more than a venue,” where they made memories and said, “I do.” We are thankful they choose us, and their kind words about our dad, aka Kevin, the barn builder, and our passion for our couples. We hope her sentiments echo through all our couple’s wedding days, but Emily put it into words. Read on to hear about the “SCR experience.”
NOVEMBER FOR A RUSTIC BOHO RANCH WEDDING
These epic sweethearts—seriously, their love is so tangible in the air—got married at The Grove at SCR. The view from this site is perfect for those who love the rolling hills of the Lakes Region and Palo Pinto Mountains. The elevation of the plateaus behind the ceremony platform is the perfect touch of Texas for our unique couples.
The branches spreading out from the platform form a stunning backdrop for our ceremonies, and the perfect central focus of our custom, the hand-built metal cross, is simply chic. The cross gives a focal point without drawing away from the natural beauty or the couple. It also requires little to no decor making it perfect for a single central design element like Emly chose.
The metal arch for the ceremony backdrop and the vintage Magnolia Oil barrels are part of our large vintage decor collection included in all our rentals. See some of this collection here on our website to start designing your boho rustic wedding!
MOB - Hi Kalli. I wanted to send you a note of thanks! The venue was simply perfect. Your dad was awesome, showing us around. Emily and Eric's wedding was so beautiful. So thankful Emily found this venue and so thankful y'all were so easy to work with. Thank you. ♥ Gina Buffalow
STUNNING COUPLE & DETAILS
BRIDES REVIEW
SCR venue has to be the best in Texas for SO MANY REASONS! I researched and visited many different venues when my husband and I first moved to Texas, and simply, nothing compared!!! If you are looking for a venue that will be the whole package, you found it!
First off, this venue is stunning for every color palette or theme for your special day. It is THE perfect backdrop! The details of this place are out of this world. The brilliant hand-built architecture, the cohesiveness in the layout of the property, the beautiful land it is built on. If you ar looking for a stunner of a venue, YOU FOUND IT.
Yes, the beauty of this place is unmatched, but what really hooked my husband and me was the family that owns and BUILT it. Kevin Fullerton and his family must be the most genuine, God-loving, sweet and humble family we have ever met. Their love and support are felt in every step of the way. We did not feel like we were making a business transaction when we booked the venue. It felt like we were borrowing property from family, and that meant EVERYTHING to us!

Additionally, not once did I feel overwhelmed in the planning process, and most of that is attributed to Kalli, Kevin’s daughter and the bride in which this venue was built for! SCR provides couples with dozens of resources to help the planning be lightweight and stress-free. Kalli answered all of my questions, eased my anxiety when I would have trouble with something and always let us know that she was there to help. Being in an extremely rigorous nursing program, I really appreciated her time and effort that went into checking in on me every step of the way.
I would have been scatterbrained if she wasn’t running things there at the SCR! Overall, looking back on our big day, it would not have been the same if we didn’t meet this wonderful family. Between the view of the venue, the organization of the planning process, an the love this family has for their SCR couples, it’s a winner! I can’t say enough good things about this place. SCR was the host of so many amazing memories for us, so don’t hesitate to book your day with them too! We can’t thank you enough for having us! Much Love, The Bejarans
THE MOST DREAMY TERRACOTTA WEDDING COLORS
Madison, Madison Rose Photography, is one of our favorites ever at SCR. She always captures the perfect tone of romance in her images, which is essential to SCR couples. We are the most romantic venue in Texas if you ask us! And Madison Rose always brings out the tones and detail photos that capture those elements. I mean… these COLORS! The rustic copper tones with dark rust and pops of light pink were stunning for Emily’s wedding day.
PLANNING A BOHO WEDDING
Choose the right venue! We hope that is SCR, of course! The first step in planning a barn boho wedding is to choose the right venue. Look for a barn that is rustic and charming but also has enough space to accommodate all of your guests. SCR has a metal exterior that goes with all aesthetics!
Decorate with natural elements. Boho weddings are all about the natural elements, so be sure to incorporate plenty of wood, flowers, and greenery into your décor.
Use soft, flowing fabrics. Boho weddings are also all about flowy fabrics, so be sure to use these in your décor, as well as in your wedding dress and bridesmaids' dresses.
Add some rustic charm. To add rustic charm to your wedding, consider using tried florals and lots of oversized glass jugs like those seen at this wedding!
Create a relaxed atmosphere. Boho weddings are all about the relaxed atmosphere, so be sure to create a space where your guests can feel comfortable and at ease. The front or back patios at SCR are amazing at creating a “getaway from the crowd” space for guests to have great conversations.
Serve delicious food. No wedding is complete without delicious food, so be sure to serve up some of your favorite dishes at your boho wedding. Our list of Caterers our couples can choose from is fantastic!
Here are some additional tips for planning a barn boho wedding:
Start planning early. Barn boho weddings are becoming increasingly popular, so it's important to start planning early to secure your dream venue and vendors.
Be flexible. Things don't always go according to plan, so be prepared to be flexible on your wedding day.
Delegate. Don't try to do everything yourself - delegate tasks to your family and friends to help you out.
