Being part of a women-owned small business start-up story is truly the greatest honor. From day one, SCR has been a giant fan of Sydney and her amazing mobile bar Tipsy Trailer.

Sydney wanted to share more about her story and why she loves serving SCR couples, ready for a fun story about an amazing father-daughter story, hard work, and the most stylish mobile bar that visits SCR!

How did Typsy start? What was the motivation and build-out process?

My name is Sydney Brockman and I’ve been a bartender for over 10 years working in small local restaurants. I knew bartending was my dream but didn’t want to be in the restaurant business forever. So I started looking for a business to start on my own. I found the idea of the mobile Bar on a California website that was selling their trailer for a very large price. I sent it to my father telling him I would love to buy this and his response was….. “we can absolutely build that ourselves.”

So that’s exactly what we did. The following day I drove to Oklahoma City to purchase a horse trailer. We started building the next day. The process happened so fast that it all fell perfectly into place.

My father and I spent the entire summer of 2019 designing and building the Tipsy Trailer. By the fall of 2019, we had our first open house at SCR and that was just the start of our journey with SCR.

What's your favorite part of working SCR weddings and/or SCR couples? There is a million reasons why we love Sparrow Creek but our number one has to be that it just feels like home. Every wedding we get at SCR is so relaxed and fun. The venue fits so perfectly with the look of our trailer. We actually get asked quite often if Tipsy is part of the venue. With their large perfectly lit trees Tipsy fits right in making each event truly unique! Tipsy makes your wedding stand out and is such a great addition to this beautiful venue. Getting to witness couples’ love stories and the beginning of their forever together is a dream. We are forever grateful for SCR and all the business and love they have given us through our entire journey.

What's your favorite part about owning Typsy? Tipsy is seriously such a dream job. I tell my customers over and over that it’s not a job when you’re having as much fun as we do. I met my husband in November of 2019 and little did he know he would be getting certified and start bartending every event with me. It’s such a dream getting to work with your spouse. Weddings are definitely our favorite events to work on. How could you not be excited to go to work when everyone you serve is genuinely happy and having the best time.

How has SCR been a part of that small-business development? We love Sparrow Creek Ranch so much! Coming from the small town of Graham, Tx we are so blessed to have such an amazing venue right down the road! At the beginning of our adventure, SCR went out of their way to make sure our name was passed on to each and every bride they came in contact with. That helped our business more than they will ever know. We love our small-town community and how much SCR pushes local vendors! We are truly blessed to have SCR in our community!
